Description:

Join horticulturist Fiona McCormack and myself for a wonderful morning & afternoon demonstration of cooking, baking and summer gardening.

Your day will begin in the kitchen where I’ll be demonstrating some delicious seasonal salads and lunch ideas plus tempting sinful berry desserts and bakes.

Next you’ll join horticulturist Fiona McCormack in our kitchen garden & orchard for tips on sowing and growing your own berry bushes and salads suitable for your barbeque or summer entertaining.

When you return from the garden you’ll enjoy the fruits of my labour that I’ll have prepared earlier in my demonstration

We hope between the 2 of us you’ll enjoy a relaxing day of delicious foods, while learning a little of how to sow grow and cook all of which can be recreated at home in your own kitchens & gardens or even a your flower beds.

Learning the skills of willow weaving and providing students with the opportunity to work with natural materials is something that we are so very proud of at Cloughan Farm & Cookery School and we are are delighted to once again to welcome back Helena Golden for what promises to be a wonderful day.

On The Day

Weave a Sweet Pea Planter with Helena Golden Willow Woman at Cloughan Farm. Learn about the willow, its growth and harvesting for weaving and create your very own willow obelisk. Complete with tuition, materials and sweet pea seeds, you will be guided through the process of weaving a willow obelisk to display your sweet pea blooms throughout the summer. All are welcome to experience this beautiful craft”

Your morning will begin with a warm welcome from myself followed by our freshly baked scones served with a spoon of one of Cloughan Farm homemade jam & cream and the cuppa.

Once you get started with Helena, our kitchen will be busy preparing a seasonal summer lunch for you to enjoy after your workshop.
At Cloughan Farm we want to give you a day of relaxation, a day to allow yourself discover your creative energy, to reconnect with food and nature and enjoy the learning of our islands magnificent flora and fauna all year round.
Fun and learning guaranteed in the comfortable setting of Cloughan Farm & Cookery School.
All materials and tools provided. Group will be small to ensure that everyone gets individual attention and support.

Due to the rise in coronavirus we have taken the decision not to go ahead with the remaining hands on and demonstration cookery, baking and craft classes at Cloughan Farm for the rest of 2021 and in to 2022

Government has not asked or advised us but we feel at this stage it is the right thing to do for our hospitals & emergency departments and their staff & just as importantly, their families and ours.

All our classes were fully booked with many attendees traveling across the country to join us for our workshops. Our classes and workshops were running from 4-7 hours and we fell this would only have added to the escalating situation in the run up to Christmas.

and enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

We sincerely apologise, we know so many of you were all so looking forward to joining us and we are so grateful for your bookings and support. We appreciate your understanding as to our position.
