A Taste & Stories of Halloween and The Famine Way

Your day will begin at Cloughan Farm where you will be welcomed by Fiona and our very special guest, Edel McWeeney from the National Famine Way. We will then depart just a short 1 km return journey via a mini bus to the National Famine Way. Here we will follow some of the footsteps of 1,490 famine-stricken tenant farmers and their families and gather at the bronze shoes in Abbeyshrule Village. As we do so, we will phause and remember all thoes who traveled the largest heritage trail in the world . Returning back to Cloughan Farm Edel will share the many stories of the tenants under Lord Mahon and also the establishment of the National Famion Musumn and Way .
Following on from Edels presantion, you will be invited to gather around the dining room table to enjoy a 3 course Autumn/Halloween themed lunch prepared and cooked from scratch by Fiona.
