While on lockdown we’ve been extremely busy here at Cloughan Farm & Cookery School for the last couple of months working on new projects to improve our visitor experience. We are now delighted to say that we’ll be reopening our doors in July for all our hands on farm experiences, adult cooking & baking classes and taking bookings for family and groups.
Our virtual cookery and baking classes were a great success during lockdown and are very much now part of our blending learning experience going forward in the future here at Cloughan Farm & Cookery School. So whether you only live half a mile down the road or half way across the globe and would like to book you or your family/group please don’t hesitate to contact us, we would be only to delighted to tailor make your cook or watch along virtual experience.
Its been a challenging year but here at Cloughan Farm & Cookery School we continue to work hard to welcome you all back for our hands on and demonstration cookery & baking classes and of course our farm & kitchen garden experience.
We have published our timetable which can be booked now for our September classes and hope you’ll find something you like. We are so looking forward to opening our doors but subject of course to government guidelines on covid 19 .

In this class you’ll be making a delicious Halloween Barmbrack along with traditional Irish brown bread and scones. You’ll also get hands on learning the beautiful art of jam making as well as creating a pot of autumn chutney.
It won’t take long until you have your own pantry shelves lined with pots from your garden and hedgerow harvest.
In this class we will cover and give a modern twist to soups, sauces, lunch & dinners and of course yummy warming puddings and pies.
Tips covering the importance of a good store cupboard and what you should have in it. Portion size and of course getting ahead with belly hugging meals and puddings with foods suitable for your freezer.
You’ll head home full of delicious food and rearing to get back into your own kitchen with your new recipe pack under your arm and a mind full of fresh inspiration.

Learning the skills of hand weaving and providing students with the opportunity to work with natural materials is something that we are so very proud of and I’m sure you will be too when you’re heading home with your bespoke basket.
Join Helena Golden Willow Woman to weave your own Bread Basket. Over the course of the day, you will learn the skills of weaving a round willow basket, suitable for use as a bread or fruit basket. This course is suited to beginners or to those who wish to practice the techniques involved in the round basket. Fun and learning guaranteed in the comfortable setting of Cloughan Farm & Cookery School.
All materials and tools provided and each person will finish a round basket to take home. The group will be small to ensure that everyone gets individual attention and support.
We are so looking forward to hosting a hands on Halloween lunch. In the kitchen you’ll be cooking and baking a delicious seasonal menu with a selection of our kitchen garden autumn vegetables and fruits.
